So much to do!
As usual, we've been very busy these past weeks. Our last note mentioned year end business, and we are happy to say our Year End Summary is officially TURNED IN!
There is still plenty to hammer out for the Wood Pilot Project, and we're attending/hosting lots of meetings & trainings to do so. During our last Local Executive Board Meeting we announced that our current coordinator will be leaving us for about a year to serve his country overseas. There was much discussion about what to do, and who would be the one to temporarily fill his position. We'll keep you all posted on what the final decision is when we know!
Also, we spent last week in a Web Infrastructure for Treatment Services (WITS) training! Along with being a Pilot Specialty Court for the State of Idaho, we are part of a group that is testing a new client treatment data gathering system for the State of Idaho.
We are still working on creating the 'perfect' templates for so many necessary documents. But we've been lucky to have an incredible coordinator, and a lot of helpful input from local agencies and community members. Thank you so very much for your help and patience.

Getting Caught Up
The Wood Pilot Project (WPP) has been up and running now for about five full months! To date we have 29 clients. Getting to 29 clients has involved many, many, many meetings, staffings, phone calls and faxes! But we're very excited to be where we are and moving at a fairly fast pace.
We have a staff that is growing rapidly as well; unfortunately it would appear as a laundry list of names if we provided each individual working with/for us. Instead, we will say that the WPP is growing and now includes: hired staff, an amazing out reach from several participating state and local agencies and an incredible out pour of community support.
We are getting excited for the beginning of construction of the new facility located at the Bonneville County Jail. Once completed, this facility should offer somewhere near 180 beds to the area and 10-20 of them will be reserved for our clients.
We are currently working on outlining Year 2's milestones and wrapping up the state's fiscal year. With so many ideas pouring in, this coming year should create even more opportunity for the WPP to expand its ability to help those in our community.
We'll wrap up by sharing with you that we had a very insightful experience at this year's ICADD in Boise, ID. We took with us a variety of people ranging from newbies to long timers. Because of such a variety we were able to gain a wide spectrum of information over the four day conference.
We look forward to sharing more with all of you reading this, and we'd love to hear back from you! Thanks for stopping by to check in on us.

Introduction To our Blog!
Glad to see you've stopped in to visit the Wood Pilot Project Blog!
Our goal with this blog is to allow you to remain informally up to date with what is happening in the Wood Pilot Project. Imagine this as your V.I.P. pass to the 'behind the scenes' of what is happening. Hopefully, those of us helping to lay the ground work for this pilot project will make journal entries on a fairly regular basis so you can see the hard work being done to make sure this program is accomplishing all it can.
Please note that since we are just starting this blog, the first entries may be out of order, but we'll try really hard to mention dates and names as best as we can! Bare with us while everyone gets comfortable with blogging!
